Google holding steady at 72% of search market
According to Hitwise's March 2009 figures, Google is hovering at aound 72% of the search market share. Yahoo has 16.36%, Microsoft comes in with 5.5% and Ask grabs 4.07%.Google is the only engine to garner an increase (8%) in year over year change. At this time last year Google had 67.28% of the market. Yahoo, MSN and Ask went down from 2008 19%, 17% and 1%, respectively.
