Gillespie Gets Magazine Work

Golfweek, TV Guide and Forbes have tapped McCann-Erickson WorldGroup's Gillespie agency to handle circulation assignments as part of an effort to build subscriptions for those publications.


The Princeton, NJ, agency's magazine marketing group will handle assorted circulation marketing projects for TV Guide and Forbes.


For Golfweek, Gillespie will promote the magazine's Preferred Travel Club, which offers discounts on golf destinations to subscribers. The agency also will create campaigns for subscription acquisition and retention.


Gillespie, which has annual billings of $210 million, formed the magazine marketing group in 1984. Other clients include Dow Jones & Co., Yankee Publishing, Penton Media and Advanstar Communications.
