Germany Passes E-Signature Law

German lawmakers have approved a measure to allow electronic signatures in Internet transactions.


The country's upper house of Parliament approved the measure last week after the lower house passed the rule in February.


The law, which goes into effect this month, aligns the country with a European Union-wide drive on the issue.
