Genuine Interactive named Cyril Lemaire its first CMO late last month.

He reports to John Grayson, president of the agency, and is responsible for new business development and maintaining client relationships.

He joined the agency from EF Education, where he was VP of marketing. Prior to that, he served as SVP of interactive marketing at Grand Circle Travel. He was also CMO of Euro RSCG 4D and VP of eCRM and integrated technologies at Digitas.

“I've known the team for over four years and had been a client and referred the agency a number of times,” Lemaire said.

The agency's clients are mostly in the consumer packaged goods, travel, healthcare, and beverage spaces, including companies such as Advil, Go Ahead Tours and Fuze Beverages.

Lemaire said the agency has grown significantly in size since its 2004 establishment.

“We're now in a position where we feel we can go after full-blown AOR relationships with Fortune 1,000 companies,” he explained.

However, he added that a major challenge “will be managing our growth in a way that we can retain our culture.”
