Gannett Subsidiary Brings Newspaper Inserts Online

PointRoll Inc., a subsidiary of newspaper publisher Gannett Co. Inc., said yesterday that it launched PaperBoy Local Delivery, an online delivery service for newspaper circular ads.

PaperBoy Local Delivery incorporates interactive online ads with market-specific content on Web sites including Yahoo, USATODAY.com and the 217 local online publications represented by Gannett, Knight-Ridder Inc., the Tribune Company and the Real Cities Network.

The service is made possible via a partnership between PointRoll and ShopLocal, a company specializing in promotional content for the Web. The ads are expandable banners that include features such as e-mail signup, store locators, send-to-a friend options, video and shopping lists.

More detailed information on PaperBoy Local Delivery can be found at www.paperboydelivery.com.
