Fry Finalizes Brandscape Acquisition

Fry Multimedia Inc., New York, this week completed its purchase of Brandscape, New York, the interactive and direct marketing consulting agency behind online marketing initiatives at Data General, Gorton's and Wish-Bone.

According to a Fry spokesman, the transaction would complete the integration of Brandscape's 12 employees into Fry. Brandscape founder Tom Cunruff will serve as director of Fry's New York operations.

Fry made public last month that Summit Partners, Boston, a leading venture capital firm, had purchased a minority stake in Fry, a full-service interactive agency that creates and hosts e-commerce sites. Fry employs about 170 people and includes 1-800 Flowers.com, Crate & Barrel and Godiva Chocolatier as clients.
