A direct response commercial for a new cosmetic line called Vital Radiance was so effective that I visited the URL featured in the spot even though it was pretty clear I was not the target audience for the products, writes senior editor Kristen Bremner.


Though they never flat out said it, the makeup in the Vital Radiance line was created for women of a certain age. However, it was not presented in a miracle-cure, turn-back-time sort of way.
