From the DM News Blog: Target Dog Touts Inserts Via DM Flip Book

A Target direct mail piece arrived in my mail box with

a bright red envelope featuring Target-bullseye-branded mascot

Spot the dog, writes senior editor Kristen Bremner.

The envelope also directs recipients to a flip book with more than

$45 in coupons and tells them to look for Target's March 26

newspaper insert for more savings. The flip book's back cover

also plugs the newspaper insert.

I wonder whether it will be any different from the usual format used by Target on a weekly basis or whether the company is just trying to get consumers to look for its inserts every Sunday. Visit
