FreeShop.com to Gain Viewers in Deal with Simple.com

FreeShop.com Inc., Seattle, will increase traffic at its free trials-based Web site after penning a marketing agreement yesterday with Simple.com.

Simple.com, Santa Fe, NM, provides a wide range of content and merchandise to its user base that, because of the deal, will be able to click an icon to access FreeShop.com. FreeShop.com spokeswoman Heidi Hutchinson said both firms benefited from the agreement, but wouldn't disclose financial terms.

"Simple.com won't have to develop these types of programs on its own because of this deal," Hutchinson said. "We'll get more traffic and access to their user base. We feel their viewers will in all likelihood be interested in our free trial offers."
