FreeRide Kicks Off DestinationPoints
Hoping to help advertisers increase their banner click through rates, e-commerce affinity site FreeRide (www.freeride.com), New York, announced the launch of a new service called DestinationPoints. The system creates sites and aggregates banner ads, groups them by interest and provides incentives for surfers for clicking through.The banners are organized in nine categories: people and communities; computers and the Internet; games and gaming; music and entertainment; money and careers; shop 'til you drop; news, sports and weather; travel; and cars. FreeRide said more than 30 advertisers have signed up, including AT&T WorldNet, CBS Sportsline, Disney Store Online and the Mining Co.
