Free Long-Distance Service Calls on Manhattan Marketing

BroadPoint, New York, an Internet commerce services company, has named


Manhattan Marketing Ensemble, New York, as its agency of record for a $4 million advertising and marketing communications campaign for FreeWay, an advertiser-sponsored communications service.


FreeWay gives consumers the opportunity to earn free long-distance calling in exchange for listening to brief, targeted messages.


"Our vision for FreeWay is to deliver unprecedented value to advertisers


through permission-based e-commerce marketing, while providing tremendous


benefits to our growing community of consumers," said Lisa Baker, vice president of media marketing and sales at BroadPoint.


BroadPoint launched FreeWay in January. Its membership has multiplied more than ten-fold since then, rapidly achieving its goal of 1 million subscribers by the end of the year. The service currently has 80 advertisers.
