Free E-mail to Keep 1-800-Coffees.com Customers Wired

1-800-Coffees.com, San Carlos, CA, earlier this week announced that it's offering online visitors free e-mail service in the hopes of building customer loyalty for its e-tail site featuring coffee beans, teas and gifts.

The Web site www.1800coffees.com launched last month and has signed agreements with several gift sellers -- while using Seattle's Best Coffees as its supplier of coffee-related products and Vstore.com as its fulfillment provider.

Kevin Sinclair, president of 1-800-Coffees.com, said other loyalty-based programs were under construction, such as allowing site visitors to publish their own fiction online and providing them with links to cyber cafes.

Sinclair said his firm planned to launch ad campaigns, online and offline, as early as this summer. His firm plans to generate revenue through merchandise sales, as well as banner ads and affiliate programs.
