Foundation Taps Creative Direct Response

The Special Operations Warrior Foundation has named Creative Direct Response, Crofton, MD, to test a direct mail campaign.

The agency is tasked with creating a package with multiple lists to gauge the foundation's donor appeal via mail.

The foundation has for the past 22 years raised money to offer college grants to families of special operations servicemen who lost their lives in the line of duty.

More than 100 special operations missions are conducted each year, drawing from the 45,000-plus servicemen available for such duties. The demand for their services has risen since the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11. This increases the potential for further casualties.

Creative Direct Response was chosen for its expertise in nonprofit marketing for veterans. Previous clients have included the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, Help Hospitalized Veterans, Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund and Blinded Veterans of America.
