Former Worldata Execs Form New DM Firm

Three former executives from list services company Worldata, Boca Raton, FL, this week launched MetaResponse Group, a new marketing company focusing on e-mail marketing, list brokerage and list management for both traditional marketers and Internet companies.

Jerry Whiteway, formerly a senior vice president at Worldata and now the president of MetaResponse, which is located in Palm City, FL, said the departure from Worldata was "amicable."

"There are a lot of opportunities out there right now with the Internet," he said. "The timing for this just seemed right."

His partners, Larry Roth and Al DiBlasi, who also were vice presidents with Worldata and WebConnect, Worldata's Internet ad placement company, will be vice president of sales and vice president of marketing, respectively.

Roy Schwedelson, CEO of Worldata, also said the departure was amicable. He said people with direct marketing skills currently are in demand by Internet companies.
