Former PMG Henderson Named to Acxiom Board
William J. Henderson, the recently retired postmaster general, has joined the board of directors of Acxiom Corp., the company said yesterday.Henderson, a 30-year veteran of the U.S. Postal Service, was the 71st postmaster general and the fifth career employee to lead the world's largest postal system. He served in that position from May 1998 until last month.
Acxiom, Little Rock, AR, is a customer data integration company that provides data infrastructure and technology services.
"Bill Henderson has been an innovator throughout his long postal career," said company leader Charles D. Morgan. "His philosophy fits hand-in-glove with Acxiom's mission of helping companies and organizations better understand customer behavior."
Henderson said, "Having worked closely with the Acxiom leadership team for many years, I've been greatly impressed with the spirit of innovation that is evident throughout the company."
Henderson joins Morgan, Dr. Ann Hayes Die, William T. Dillard II, Harry C. Gambill, Rodger S. Kline, Thomas F. (Mack) McLarty III, Stephen M. Patterson and James T. Womble on the Acxiom board.
