Former FCB CEO Blamer joins Creston

Steve Blamer, former president/CEO of Foote Cone & Belding Worldwide, has taken a senior post at a leading British marketing services holding firm that has entered the U.S. market.

Mr. Blamer has been named CEO of Creston plc US Holdings Inc., an arm of Creston plc. Based in New York, he is charged with applying Creston's agency-acquisition model in the United States.

Launched in 2001, Creston now has 10 agencies in Britain offering services including advertising, public relations, customer relationship marketing and interactive and direct marketing. The group has 900 employees in its home market.

Creston agencies serve clients such as BT, Burger King, T-Mobile, General Motors, Nestle U.K., Kimberly-Clark, Unilever, AstraZeneca, British Airways, Bayer, Nissan, Tesco, WHSmith and Canon.

Prior to FCB, Mr. Blamer was CEO of Grey Worldwide North America, a post he assumed after spending 17 years with the Grey network of agencies.
