ForestExpress Bolsters Integration Abilities

ForestExpress, Atlanta, a transaction-processing network for the paper and forest products industry, yesterday announced an agreement to expand its business-to-business integration capabilities by leveraging the STERLING Bridge Service from Sterling Commerce.

ForestExpress said this technology will let it offer BTB integration services for any message type using any message format, including electronic data interchange, or EDI, and extensible markup language. As a result, its forest products customers will be able to use a single connection for conducting e-business, and enable all of their trading partners to participate.

This service will let forest products companies share information and complete transactions electronically via ForestExpress with EDI BTB trading communities.

Sterling Commerce is a subsidiary of SBC Communications.
