Flytxt Gets $3.3M Cash Infusion

British mobile marketing agency Flytxt closed a second round of funding.


Venture capitalist Herald Ventures poured in 75 percent of $3.3 million that will go toward product development, investment in emerging technology and additional hiring over the next six months. Existing investors made up the rest.


Herald specializes in media, technology and communications businesses.


Flytxt launched in October 2000 with an initial investment of about $2 million. IVC provided the seed investment.


The London-based shop has run more than 1,000 wireless Internet marketing campaigns for Coca-Cola, Cadbury, Emap, the BBC and others. Clients span the media, consumer packaged goods, retail and entertainment categories as well as charities.
