Firstwave, IBM Offer eCRM Through Desktop

Firstwave Technologies Inc., which provides eCRM products, and IBM Global Services have joined forces to electronically deliver customer relationship management software to the desktops of small and mid-sized businesses.

The software will be available through an application service provider model.

"In the past, people have had two choices, to use a Web-based solution 'as is' or to purchase a CRM solution, have it customized for their needs and implemented internally," said Richard Brock, Firstwave's president/CEO. "The latter is usually a very lengthy and expensive process. Firstwave has introduced a third option," he said.

"Firstwave eCRM combines the benefits of the Internet, the rapid deployment and anytime, anywhere access to CRM information, with features usually only available through user-owned, client-server CRM solutions and easy-to-use customization capabilities," he said.
