Firstlogic Releases Labeling Software

Firstlogic Inc. announced yesterday the availability of Label Studio 7.00, a new mail piece labeling software solution.

Label Studio is a component of the Firstlogic Postalsoft suite of mail automation software, Firstlogic said. It ensures that address information is displayed properly on mail pieces. It also conforms to U.S. Postal Service regulations for address label design and is recognized by automation equipment throughout the postal system.

Firstlogic said that label placement is important to direct marketers and catalog companies because the better the design of mail pieces, the more likely they will get a better response from recipients. The address label, placement, font and layout of address elements are key contributors to the overall design of targeted mail pieces.

Label Studio provides various fonts, barcodes, graphics and layout capabilities as part of a complete automated system for creating mail. It also offers a graphical, "drag-and-drop" environment designed to decrease job setup time.

Label Studio supports advanced inkjet controllers widely used in publishing and mailing, including those from manufacturers such as Chesire, Domino, Donnelley, Heidelberg, Scitex and Videojet. The solution offers a generic suite of setup windows, eliminating the learning curve usually required when organizations change or upgrade printing systems.
