Firstlogic Offers FirstKey Video Coding
Firstlogic Inc., an information quality and postal automation solutions vendor, announced yesterday the general availability of FirstKey, a video coding solution targeted to public and private postal authorities, courier companies and systems integrators that serve these markets.Video coding technology typically is used by posts and other organizations to "resolve" or code a percentage of the mail that cannot be read by automated Optical Character Recognition machines in postal facilities.
FirstKey works for letters, flats, parcels and bundles, and it provides multiple images for parcels in order for operators to locate address information on a piece. It adapts to country-specific components and can be used with existing sorting machine architectures, Firstlogic, La Crosse, WI, said.
