Firms Join Forces to Offer E-Commerce Programs

MDM Technologies Inc. and Oaktree Systems Inc. this week announced that they would co-create a direct marketing system with Web-based applications. The companies are currently deciding on a name for the product.

Oaktree, Long Island, NY, has provided its e-commerce software for the system. MDM, Elizabeth, NJ, has supplied its customer database, as well as fulfillment, supply chain and print programs.

Francine Sharkey, spokeswoman for both firms, said the companies cooperated for the release because marketers expect front-end to back-end software when they shop for e-commerce systems.
