Bill Firing has joined SolutionSet, a multichannel marketing services company, in the newly created position of chief strategy officer, the firm announced August 18. He reports to Zain Raj, who joined the company as president and COO at the end of June.

Firing came on board the independent agency in late May from Organic, where he was VP of engagement. At Organic, he oversaw client services and productions resources for the agency.

“I spend more than my half time with clients. I feel you have to keep your finger on the pulse of a client's business,” he said. “That's what I found attractive about coming here; how we apply ourselves to clients is paramount. Building and maneuvering teams and resources for clients is rewarding.”

Firing works with Raj to oversee the company's overall strategy. He said the two work to consistently integrate the analytics and data side of the business with the creative and strategy side.

SolutionSet offers direct, digital, data and mobile service for clients including AT&T, American Express and eBay.
