FEI Women's Health, a maker of hormone-free anti-impregnation drugs, Friday picked MDC Partners' Colle + McVoy, Minneapolis, to develop a national ad campaign for its ParaGard intrauterine contraceptive.

The agency will use brand advertising, direct, e-mail and online marketing, brand design, collateral, sales support and event promotions to create national awareness for ParaGard.

This is Colle + McVoy's first account in the women's reproductive area. FEI, Los Angeles, produces contraception for women that it claims is easy to use, lasts long and is completely reversible.

Meanwhile, Colle + McVoy also won strategic media planning responsibilities for Northern Tool + Equipment's retail store division. The assignment also includes media buying for the toolmaker's out-of-home media and part of its print work.

Based in Minneapolis, Northern Tool sells products through 50 retail stores in 10 states, a catalog and at www.northerntool.com. The company has a catalog and e-commerce site for Britain. The product line covers consumer goods as well as industrial and construction equipment.

Colle + McVoy's older clients include Nestle Purina, Novartis, CHS, Explore Minnesota Tourism, Winnebago Industries, North American Olive Oil Association, CNH, Red Wing Shoe Co., Bayer and Minnesota State Lottery.
