FedEx, Cap Gemini Partner on Supply-Chain Platform

FedEx subsidiary FedEx Supply Chain Services partnered with Cap Gemini Ernst & Young to launch an integrated supply-chain technology platform, FedEx announced yesterday.


The new platform will enhance the connectivity of FedEx's supply-chain services, providing customers with increased visibility to their supply chain, enhanced inventory management and lower operational costs, FedEx said.


In addition, FedEx and Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, a provider of consulting, technology and outsourcing services, entered a multi-year agreement to co-market FedEx Supply Chain Services and its improved capabilities, according to FedEx.


Cap Gemini Ernst & Young will provide transaction-fee-based integration and outsourcing services to FedEx as part of the marketing partnership. Further financial details were not disclosed.
