Fashionmall.com Reportedly Buys Boo's Web Site

Fashion portal fashionmall.com yesterday bought Boo.com's Web site, according to a message posted there online.


The London-based e-tailer was dissolved two weeks ago after it went through $135 million in six months and investors balked at putting more funds into the venture.


There was no financial information available, and according to reports, the company's liquidator, KPMG, was not aware of the deal.


But a pop-up window on Boo's site greeted visitors with a message from fashionmall that it had bought Boo.com and plans to position it as an international fashion portal.


Earlier this week, British computing firm Bright Station bought Boo's technology for $374,900.
