Fandango Offers Print Feature for Movie E-Tickets

Internet destination Fandango.com recently began offering its online ticket printing service for movie tickets in the Plano, TX, market.

Called At-Home Ticketing, the service premiered Dec. 1 for two theaters owned by multinational theater firm Cinemark USA Inc. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The service allows viewers to purchase advance tickets for shows and print them from their home or work computers. Fandango.com also provides show times, reviews, movie trailers, concession ordering, and local restaurant and parking information.

Fandango, Los Angeles, has agreements with seven firms, including Cinemark, that own a total of 15,000 theater halls, allowing the dot-com to offer online movie tickets in more than 20 U.S. markets and in Vancouver, British Columbia.

The company said in a prepared statement that it would announce additional market expansion before the end of the month.
