Experian's automotive information services division will use Firstlogic's Information Quality Suite to cleanse and standardize data contained in its national vehicle database. The database tracks the life cycle of more than 325 million vehicles nationwide and allows Experian to provide automotive information solutions to automotive manufacturers, automotive dealers, financial firms, automotive auctions, insurance companies and marketing agencies.

"With the massive amounts of data we receive on an ongoing basis, it is imperative that we have a data quality solution in place that helps us quickly turn raw data into actionable information," said Ken Kauppila, chief operating officer and senior vice president of technology at Experian's automotive information services division. "Firstlogic's Information Quality Suite helps us to efficiently receive and process data from over 175 disparate data sources in a 48-hour time period, clearly differentiating us in a market grown accustomed to actionable data that is months old."
