Experian Offers Updated USPS Hygiene Tool

As a non-exclusive licensee of the U.S. Postal Service, Experian announced the availability of the second-generation Delivery Sequence File from the USPS today.

DSF2, as the hygiene tool is called, lets Experian verify address quality and provide address matching at the delivery point level, according to the firm.

Addresses matched to DSF2 are standardized per USPS specifications.

Experian offers DSF2 as a stand-alone product or as part of Experian's advanced list processing technology.

"By applying advanced postal optimization techniques with DSF2, marketers can optimize campaign performance," Daniel J. Minnick, vice president of postal and industry services for Experian's Marketing Solutions Business Unit, said in a statement. "Each address matched to DSF2 is appended with valuable marketing and delivery description information that allows marketers to identify and connect with specific beneficial mailing segments while saving on postal costs by avoiding unprofitable segments."
