Experian Allies With FloNetwork

Direct marketer Experian said today it formed a strategic alliance with e-mail service provider FloNetwork, Toronto.

The alliance will give Experian the chance to offer a complete online solution to its Fortune 1000 clients by allowing them to communicate with their customers through personalized, targeted and permission-based e-mail messages.

FloNetwork's permission-based marketing encourages consumers to participate in a long-term, interactive marketing campaign in which they benefit by receiving targeted messages. At the same time, companies benefit because it enhances their ability to target customers and prospects.

Experian, Orange, CA, is the latest direct marketer to make a push online. Earlier this month Mokrynski & Associates, a list firm with more than 200 catalog clients, partnered with E-commerce co-op site Prefer.com. In February, VentureDirect Worldwide launched its XactMail Network, a turnkey e-mail network consisting of more than 5.5 million names divided into 25 marketing segments.

Experian generates annual sales of more than $1.5 billion and has presence in 16 countries.
