Experian Adds Three Credit Bureaus

Experian announced this week that it bought the consumer credit assets of three of its affiliate regional consumer credit bureaus.

The acquisitions included Credit Bureau of Provo, UT, Credit Bureau of Ogden, UT and United One Resources, Wilkes-Barre, PA. Experian had existing relationships with all three prior to the purchases.

Experian acquired only the credit operations and contracts of Credit Bureau of Ogden and United One Resources. The Ogden bureau will continue to offer its proprietary mortgage and collection products and services and United One Resources will continue with its existing business offering real estate and title insurance products and services. Credit Bureau of Provo will be completely integrated into Experian.

Financial details of the transactions were not made public.

The acquisitions came a little over a month after Experian announced its acquisition of the Credit Bureau of Southern Utah, St. George, UT and Centroplex Credit Reporting and Collections Inc., Killeen, TX on Feb. 18.
