Expedia, E-Stamp, Promotions.com Choose E.pipahany

E.piphany Inc., San Mateo, CA, said Friday that several new dot-com customers --including Expedia Inc., Promotions.com, and E-Stamp Corp. -- have selected its E.piphany E.4 system to provide insight into their customers' behavior and help personalize their interactions based on that knowledge.

The E.4 System is a suite of software solutions that enable companies to profile and analyze customer characteristics and preferences and then use that information to drive marketing campaigns and individually-tailored products and services.

E-Stamp, a San Mateo, CA-based company that provides Internet solutions that help businesses complete secure electronic postage transactions, is deploying E.piphany E.4 to drive customer acquisition and retention, and launch campaigns to grow those customer relationships.

Promotions.com, New York, a provider of Internet promotions solutions for marketers and agencies will deploy E.piphany to combine targeted campaign management and rich e-mail functionality with applications that measure campaign effectiveness.

Expedia Inc., Bellevue, WA, an online travel services company, will initially integrate E.4 with its e-mail marketing system.

"E.piphany will enable us to better understand and target our customers, while at the same time allowing us to maintain and respect their privacy,'' said Seth Eisner, vice president, operations at Expedia. "In the competitive travel business, creating customer loyalty is a primary focus. Expedia is committed to delivering a highly-personalized experience to our customers that is relevant, rewarding and secure."
