Excite@Home Upgrades Broadband Services
Internet service provider Excite@Home yesterday introduced a new service, @Home 2000, an improved version of the Redwood City, CA-based company's cable broadband service.Subscribers to broadband services from www.excite@home.com can use rollover menus and visual learning tools to personalize their homepages. The online service also offers more extensive local news and information, up to 7 e-mail accounts and a browser designed for broadband usage.
Excite@Home looks to gain early market position on a cable-based broadband market that, according to a market research test by Forrester Research, Boston, will entail over 60 percent of online users by 2003.
