Excite 1Q Revenue Rose 75 Percent to $138 Million

Excite@Home last week reported first quarter revenues of $138 million, an increase of 75% compared to revenues of $78.7 million in the first quarter of 1999.


Results combine the historical results of Excite Inc. and At Home Corp., which merged in May 1999.


Excite@Home's market for residential broadband services grew 75% in the first quarter to approximately 26 million upgraded cable homes from 15 million homes a year ago.


The company currently has a broadband reach of 13 million homes outside of North America in five countries.


MatchLogic, Excite@Home's advertising services subsidiary delivered 22 billion banner ad impressions and 57 million targeted e-mail marketing messages during the first quarter, increases of 40% and 12%, respectively, over the fourth quarter of 1999.
