Williams-Sonoma, San Francisco, selected Excel's Excel Direct fulfillment arm to provide home delivery for large-scale items purchased through Williams-Sonoma and Pottery Barn stores as well as through their catalogs and Web sites.


Excel Direct, Columbus, OH, began providing home delivery services for Williams-Sonoma in selected major markets during midyear 2000. The company will now use its national network to make approximately 200,000 deliveries annually of Williams-Sonoma products and Pottery Barn furniture as well as other large items that do not meet the dimensions for delivery by smaller package ca
