Euro RSGC Worldwide Buys Devon Direct

Euro RSGC Worldwide, New York, agreed this week to acquire Devon Direct, Philadelphia, the second-largest independent direct marketing agency in the United States. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

According to Daniel Morel, CEO of The Sales Machine, Euro's branded marketing services network, Euro has been on an aggressive acquisition spree for the past 2 1/2 years, and this particular move represents its efforts to expand its presence on the East Coast.

"We had a slight imbalance of our marketing services in the U.S., specifically on the East Coast," Morel said. "It is also a response to us wanting to expand the bandwidth capabilities we offer our current clients in the U.S."

For Devon Direct, it "will have access to a wider range of services to help solve the problems and challenges our clients have," said Ron Greene, president/CEO of Devon Direct.

The companies will provide additional services to one another's existing clients. Euro, the fifth-largest agency network in the world, has 2,000 clients worldwide. Devon will be its largest direct marketing agency in North America.
