E*Trade, Hilton in Marketing Pact

Online investing concern E*Trade Group Inc., Palo Alto, CA, formed a marketing alliance with Hilton HHonors, Beverly Hills, CA, yesterday. Hilton HHonors, which has about 2.3 million members, will award up to 25,000 HHonors points, which can be used toward discounts at Hilton lodging facilities, to its members who open an E*Trade account. The offer will be promoted through direct mail. In addition, the two companies are exploring other possibilities for marketing to each others' customer bases.
