Equifax Q3 Revenue, Income Rise

Equifax Inc., Atlanta, reported a 17 percent increase in third-quarter 2005 operating revenue yesterday, totaling $375.3 million for the period through Sept. 30 compared with $319.9 million in third-quarter 2004.


Net income for the quarter was $62.5 million, up from $53.2 million a year ago.


Revenue for North America grew 17 percent in Q3 to $305.6 million versus $260.8 million in 2004. The figures include the firm's North America Information Services division and Marketing Services division.


A revenue gain of 47 percent occurred in Latin America, rising to $34.6 million from $23.6 million in 2004. European revenue was down slightly at $35.1 million from $35.5 million.
