Equifax Buys BeNow
Equifax Inc., Atlanta, said yesterday that it acquired database marketing services provider BeNow Inc. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.BeNow, which serves multichannel marketing clients such as General Motors, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Hammacher Schlemmer, Tower Records and MetLife, will become part of Equifax Marketing Services. The company will keep its office in Wakefield, MA, and CEO Brad Neuenhaus will join Equifax as senior vice president, reporting to Owen Flynn, group executive, marketing services.
As part of Equifax, BeNow will continue to provide database management, analytics and support services to the marketing clients of both firms.
In other recent Equifax news, the company said Aug. 24 that it hired General Electric Co. veteran Richard F. "Rick" Smith as CEO starting Sept. 19. He also was elected to succeed outgoing Equifax chairman Thomas F. Chapman upon his retirement at the end of the year.
