Engage 3Q Revenue Rose 1,034% on Acquisitions

Engage Inc. yesterday said its third quarter revenue rose 1,034% from a year ago to $58.7 million, an 87% increase over the second quarter.

The company attributed the increase primarily to its acquisitions of Flycast Communications and AdSmart earlier this year.

Engage's loss for the third quarter was $196.5 million, or $1.14 per share, which includes stock compensation, research and development and acquisition costs.

In addition to the two notable acquisitions of the quarter, Engage has created five separate business divisions: Media, Business Media, Enabling Technologies, AdKnowledge and I/PRO.

Paul Schautt, president and CEO, noted that Enagage has transformed from a technology company to a full service online marketing firm through these third quarter internal realignments and acquisitions.
