The OTA brings on new board members, releases new guidelines

The Online Trust Alliance (OTA) is expanding its board of directors to address growing concerns around online security and privacy in e-commerce and online banking.

New board members include David Daniels, VP at Forrester Research, Dianna Koltz, director of best practices at Adperio, David Lewis, CMO at Message Systems, Fran Maier, CEO of TRUSTe and Sal Tripi, senior director of operations and compliance at Publishers Clearing House. These new board members join the existing team which includes: Erik Johnson, EVP of Bank of America, Manish Goel the CEO of BoxSentry, Charles Stiles from of Goodmail Systems, Tom Bartel of Return Path, as well as Pablo Stern of Symantec and Howard Schmidt. 

Together the new group has helped to establish the new 2009 OTA Online Principles and Guidelines. These guidelines will continue to be updated in the coming months.
