Eicoff's Bliwas Takes Over as DMA Board Chairman

NEW ORLEANS -- Ronald L. Bliwas, president/CEO of A. Eicoff & Co., was elected chairman of the Direct Marketing Association, the DMA said yesterday at its fall show.


Other officers are: Stephen M. Lacy, president/COO of Meredith Corp., vice chairman; Donn Rappaport, chairman/CEO of American List Counsel Inc., treasurer; and Kelly B. Browning, executive vice president/COO of American Institute for Cancer Research, secretary.


"My election to DMA board chairman is a sign of the growth of [the DRTV] medium, as well as an indication that DRTV has become an integral part of the multichannel mix," Bliwas said in a statement.


New board members are: John Costello, executive vice president of merchandising and marketing at The Home Depot Inc.; George Ittner, president of The Territory Ahead; John Paloian, group president of publishing and retail services at R.R. Donnelley; Michael Pepe, senior vice president at D&B; Eugene R. Raitt, executive vice president/CMO at AIG Companies Worldwide.


Board members serve three-year terms.
