ECritical, Sniffer Partner on Web Traffic Tracking
ECritical, a software developer in adaptive infrastructure management, said it has a nonexclusive agreement that will allow Sniffer Technologies to leverage the eCritical E-platform as an extension of the Sniffer product line.By leveraging eCritical's Web-based console, Sniffer Technologies can provide customers an end-to-end view of their Internet traffic.
The companies said the patent-pending eCritical platform can give insight into the actual end-user experience, using passive measurement technologies. Once these measurements are made, the firms said, a view is generated using a patent-pending traffic correlation engine yielding accurate analysis that allows IT operators to diagnose problems that could affect the network's performance or provide a look at potential issues before they arise.
Sniffer Technologies is a division of Network Associates, a provider of network and application management solutions designed to ensure e-business uptime.
