Postal and e-mail list brokerage Eclipse Direct Marketing, New York, said yesterday that it launched Independent Deliverability E-mail Audit in conjunction with e-mail delivery auditing and optimization company Pivotal Veracity.

E-mail list owners can use IDEA to audit their files for deliverability issues related to infrastructure, inbox penetration, permission level, reputation and best practices. IDEA also documents CAN-SPAM compliance, bounces, complaints, data sources, opt-in processes and deliverability into specific e-mail systems such as AOL, MSN Hotmail, Yahoo and Gmail.

"Most mailers do not have the time to check if their mail is being blocked or blacklisted and are unaware of e-mail configuration issues that are causing problems for ISPs," said Stephen Eustace, general manager of IDEA. "IDEA highlights critical issues or risks that may impact future delivery, their reputation and ultimately their revenue."
