EchoStar Communications Corp. will combine its EchoStar DISH Network digital satellite television offering with DSL Internet access from EarthLink to provide consumers with a satellite television/Internet access package, the two companies said Friday.

EchoStar will offer bundled service packages through DISH Network sales efforts and through DISH Network's nationwide network of retailers. Consumers who buy the bundled services package will receive credits of up to $10 on monthly service charges for a package of EarthLink DSL Internet and DISH Network satellite television programming.

DISH Network said it will begin to offer EarthLink DSL service this summer.

DISH Network said it also intends to offer a next-generation satellite TV set-top box later this spring that combines the capabilities of DSL broadband and satellite television to deliver video on demand and other services for DISH Network satellite TV customers.

EarthLink, Atlanta, is an Internet service provider. EchoStar Communications, Littleton, CO, along with its DISH Network satellite TV system provide more than 500 channels of digital video and audio programming as well as satellite TV receiver hardware and installation.
