Ecampus Leads Textbook Marketing Race

Ecampus.com Inc., Lexington, KY, yesterday said its Web site has experienced remarkable growth over the past six months and has seen its branding campaigns meet with a high level of success.

Web ratings released yesterday by PC Data verified that ecampus.com reached the 1 million unique-monthly-visitors mark faster than any textbook site.

The site also won the ratings fight over its two biggest rivals Varsitybooks.com and Bigwords.com in the key back-to-school months of August and January, according to PC Data.

Ecampus.com had 955,000 unique visitors combined for those months. Varsitybooks.com and Bigwords.com trailed with 886,000 and 829,000 visitors, respectively.

Additional market research also shows that Ecampus reached an 80 percent brand awareness among college students surveyed in January.
