EBay Picks MicroStrategy

MicroStrategy Inc., McLean, VA, a business intelligence software provider, said yesterday that eBay selected the MicroStrategy Business Intelligence Platform to analyze the ongoing performance of the categories of products and services for sale on its Web sites.


On any given day, more than 16 million items are listed on eBay across 27,000 categories. In 2002, eBay users transacted $14.87 billion in gross merchandise sales.


EBay hopes that by enhancing its understanding of this data, it improve its offerings to the eBay community.
