Earnings Up, Revenue Down for Acxiom in Q3

Data provider Acxiom Corp., Little Rock, AR, announced last week that earnings rose despite a decline in revenue for the third quarter compared with the same period last year.


Net earnings were $19.94 million for the quarter ended Dec. 31, up from $19.54 million in the previous Q3. Revenue was $255.2 million compared with $257.96 million for the year-ago period.


Other highlights of Acxiom's third-quarter performance:


· New contracts that will deliver $49 million in annual revenue and renewals that total $14 million in annual revenue.


· Committed new deals expected to generate $44 million in annual revenue.


· The acquisition of Claritas Europe.


· Completion of a long-term alliance with Accenture that is expected to drive new revenue and improve the efficiency of Acxiom's services delivery model.
