E-Z Tote Product Airs in DRTV Test

Original American Design Inc. began testing a DRTV spot campaign for a product called Doc's E-Z Tote. Hawthorne Direct, a DRTV agency in Fairfield, IA, produced the spot and is handling the media buying.

The tote is a large carrying device developed by Dr. Richard Dyer, an orthopedic surgeon. It is made of lightweight material and can be used for carrying leaves, children's toys, and laundry. The ergonomically correct design reduces back strain when lifting. The price is set at $19.95.

"If the test is successful we will roll out next week," said Karla Crawford, new business development account executive for Hawthorne Direct. "We don't have the results back yet."

West Teleservices Corp., New York, has been contracted for call centers, while National Fulfillment Inc., Lebanon, TN will fulfill the orders.
