E-mail vendors adopt eec measurement standards

E-mail marketing vendors AllWebEmail and Email Transmit have agreed to adopt the Email Experience Council (eec), the DMA's e-mail division, new set of measurement standards for e-mail marketing, which came out in March.

The new measurement standards include eight definitions for reporting on Accepted, Render and Click-through, which have been loosely defined across the industry, which has been confusing for marketers, prior to this new standardization.

Eleven more companies have also said they would adopt these new standards. These companies include: Alterian, BlueHornet, Blue Sky Factory, Bronto Software, Cooler Email, Green Arrow, Office Autopilot, Send Pepper, Silverpop, SubscriberMail and YesMail.
